This position is for an experienced applications support resource that will be tasked to demonstrate technical and operational expertise in the Rates, Commodities, Currencies exchange and FX Options businesses of JPMorgan. This role requires working as part of Production Management team, which works closely with both Technology and Business partners to ensure the timely analysis and resolution of issues raised on a day to day basis. The businesses deals in a range of activities including trading of different financial instruments with the help of several integrated applications.

This role is part of the Macro Orion framework. The key success criteria are: day-to-day support of trade processing / risk / market data problems, application releases, management of crisis events and monitoring and hygiene.

Objectives

  • Support global applications customers within the production environment, including an extensive and practical understanding of the application
  • Maintain Global relationships with various other support teams as well as business users.
  • Perform timely escalation of critical production environment incidents and proactively identify patterns of recurring incidents to improve service capabilities.
  • Develop and utilize core tools and processes to perform daily function whilst improving day to day practices for the global production management group.
  • Adopt a DevOps culture to accomplish final solutions to repetitive problems.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an energetic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Interface with Business users as necessary for defining requirements and streamlining design.

  • Modify and enhance existing system to incorporate new functionality and to optimize them for performance.

  • Analyze and resolve technical and application problems.

  • Provide production support by identify root cause and propose solutions.

  • Establish working relationships with various application teams and key team members and across the technology organization as appropriate.

  • Interaction with different business groups like Product Control, Finance, Market Risk, Front-office and Middle-office users.

  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Skills and Knowledge Required
  • 5+ years of experience on applications/OS/infrastructure support

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Client Oriented.

  • Solid Organizational skills; detailed oriented and great reading comprehension.

  • Capable of handling changes/uncertainty by quickly adapting to new processes.

  • PL/SQL or SQL (good skills in writing SQL queries preferably in Oracle).

  • Knowledge in Git, Unix, Linux, Groovy, Java,Python
